I was visiting my friend who is living at Yokohama in Japan. It was a great time and the best summer I have had. I went to many different places such as the Royal Palace, Yokohama Port, and Yokohama China Town. One of the most impressive places was Yokohama China Town near where I stayed.
One day, my friend went to Hokkaido and I stayed at home alone. It was truly boring, so I decided to go for a walk unaccompanied. I walked a long the way and saw beautiful places and people. Each store was decorated by fantastic colorful of lanterns and flowers, moreover, along each ways of the town are full of lanterns too. I also liked people who were truly polite, friendly, and educated. I was really funny and happy.
The time flew so fast, 5 hours was gone. The sky became darker and darker. At first, I did not recognize which way I should go home at all. I wanted to ask people around me but the sound of silence and tranquil; they were coming closer and closer, escaping from any noise. Unexpectedly, I realized that I could not identify the way home, so I was absolutely lost!
Out of the blue, I wasn’t totally afraid or worried, so I decided to sleep one night on the way. I slept under the stunning sky and heard a gorgeous soft music humming from the sea.
Immediately, I felt a sudden chill. I heard muffled voice from the right side. I followed up the sound until reached the clue. I saw a guy who was sitting on the grass with his guitar. I walked into him unexpectedly. “ That's what I wish most stars, you're at dusk to look up and check your heart filled with grief and find joy and I think that's where you smile instead I'm sure I'm going to live one day I meet believe” that was what he sung. It was truly touching and the melody is similar to one song I heard but it's Japanese song in English means Can't Stop the TEAR.
Suddenly “Hi, What can I help you?” He glanced at me and said. “Nothing, I seat over there and I heard a beautiful song from somewhere else than I come after it. Sorry, I do not mean to disturb you.” I opened my eyes and replied. Then we had been blab out whole night. I asked him to sing the same song again and again. He seemed nothing tired and pleased excessively.
“Turning the pages of old photographs, I whisper thanks to each and everyone. Deep in my heart you have come, come to live, sure as the sun to see me through. Come rain or shine however the day may be you shelter me with your smile. However far your, memories may fade traces of you I hope to find. Then you appear and I drown in my own tears. I wish on a star, the first star of the night. You'll find me here every evening of the year. As twilight approaches I look to the sky, searching for you with all of my heart. In grief and joy I long for you and your smile. Hoping you feel the way I do. If only you could find me from where you are, I do believe somewhere in time. I do believe I will see you once again. Come rain or shine however the day may be you shelter me with your smile. But as each memory of you fades away, I'm so alone longing for you. You're on my mind as I drown in my own tears. Missing you so, I'm missing you so. You're on my mind as I drown in my own tears.”
When the moon was down and the sun was rise up, sharing night was over. He sent me to my friend’s home.
Slowly I turned the back around and looked for the stair. “How do you feel? Do you feel it?” he said. Softly sound in my heart said “Yes. You’re awesome! I like your serious eyes and voice.” He seemed to be waiting for an answer, but I had nothing to say. He kept his eyes on me and continued “Do you really like me? I don’t know what you are feeling, but what I know I do like you. I like the way you are.” I looked at him with striking staring eyes as my heart hit something soft and warm. " I don't wish the song I sung for you it lays in my life. The beat of my heart doesn't want my lover drown in the tear and a distance of missing. I am in love with you and I realize that you are the one I am looking for so far." He grabbed my hand with his charming eyes. I was reveal my true feeling to him. I did not seem to notice anything that my heart said I had found my true love and wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.
What a beautiful and peaceful summer! It was very exciting time. It all happened last summer, I met my lover. I always feel better when I go there because it is a very special place and memory for me.

Demetrios the Traveller
speak to me memory the language of seagulls
behind the hills behind the sweating sight
beds of sand tatooed by sudden wind
curved and open crevices particles of the skin of earth
with snake linear language
where the path into the cliff blue turns white foaming
air seeped through the stones ethereal as moans of this dry land
disconnected lay dormant following the wind of others
elevated lyrical images
of islands in high sea half to light half to gray _darkness
strains of memories
wave rolling wave to become equal in motion... in distance
into my mind to capture the essence
aqua choreography
the barren chest of isles producing depth not seen
by my sweeping cantos of self unity
sounds magical lured by the cardiac tunes
murmuring the language of skin and love songs
speak to me
speak to me memory,
the language of seagulls
Have a nice week, with a poem by Lorenzo Mavilis
LETHE
Fortunate are the dead who forget
the bitterness of life. When the sun sets
and dusk follows, do not weep for them,
no matter how deep your sorrow may be!
At such an hour the souls are thirsty and go
to οblivion's crystal-cold spring;
but the water will turn muddy,
if a tear is shed for them by the beloved.
And if they drink turbid water, they recall,
passing through fields of asphodels,
past sorrows that sleep within them.
If you cannot but weep, at sunset,
your eyes should lament for the living
who seek to forget, but cannot do so.
'Lethe', or 'Oblivion' is a pessimistic poem. Mavilis mingles in it the ancient Greek belief about the Underworld, so well described by Homer in the Odyssey (XXIV, 1-14), and the Modern Greek tradition about the Realm of the Dead. According to Homer, the Underworld is a vast field where the plant asphodel grows.
